Ian great choice exactly the same as mine except that the car is Silver.

Best tow car I have had and the combination tows really well.

I have made a few mods to the caravan here are some but not all.

Moved the TV ariel input as it is almost impossible to connect in the original position once electric cable is plugged in.

Ego motor mover fitted - transferred from previous van.

Tv mounting between bedroom and lounge so that tv can be swivelled round.

Shelf added next to the right of microwave to increase storage.

Plate rack moved to left off microwave.

2nd towel hook added to washroom.

Shelves added to lockers on near side over bed.

Considering adding another drain to shower as per latest model to aid drainage.

Spare wheel moved from under bed to under slung ALKO carrier.

I don't think that colour was available when I bought mine, saw one last week in it and thought it looked nice.

Interesting list of mods ....

The spare wheel is under the bed on my 'van, I prefer it to the Alko carrier that I had on the past few 'vans.

Other mods on mine .... mini heki in the loo (standard in 2013 version but not my 2014), had this done on the last few vans, looks better and works well.

Heavy duty steadies .... again standard in 2013 model but not 2014, had them on last few vans and wanted them again .... serve no useful purpose but there we are!

Jacking points fitted for KoJack .... had Alko jack as standard on last two Swift Group dealer specials, Ko Jack is much more substantial.

Mover transfer .... how did we manage without one? Had a Reich for about ten years now a Powertouch Evolution which is on its second van now .... power engagement which is handy for home as I had to stand in the middle of the road to wind off the Reich mover and my sour faced neighbour in her Micra was alyas trying to get me!

Mudflaps .... make a huge difference, rear of the van is much cleaner (NB our last van was in the same bodyshell so it is not simply aerodynamics!). My dealer located proper Swift ones.

All mods carried out by the wonderful Duncans Caravans.

The one thing I did myself - I'm clueless - is fit a pneumatic jockey wheel.

Iain,

I have thought about a mini heki in the shower it is pretty gloomy in there.

I carry a jack but prefer to leave stuff like that to the Green Flag man.

I will have a look at the mud flaps as the back of my van gets very dirty.

Thanks fir the response it's nice to compare notes.

How do you find the neumatic jockey wheel to the solid they fit s standard.I have a twin axle Lunar and was contemplating putting a neumatic one on it as I believe it makes it easier to manouver.I tow with a D5 XC70 and as you say they are such good tow cars when using geartronic.

My dealer sells them but does not recommend them.
As he says what happens when you have a puncture as some people have found out to there cost.
But its like anything else you pays your money and takes your chance.

The hard rubber jockey wheels on my last few 'vans worked well with the mover, the plastic wheel on my current Swift was poor .... slipping along the (lowered) kerb prior to mounting it.

So replaced with a pneumatic jockey wheel. It works well but needs blown up pretty regularly.

Must admit have the old wheel stored away in the van just in case!
