Default intercooler cleaning

have 1995 945tic and would like to remove the intercooler and wash out oil that gets inside.has anyone done this?thinking parafin swirled around inside then blow out with compressor.put a gallon of parafin in with each full tank last two fill ups now no smoke from exhaust on start up and much less in running.must have cleaned up injectors.on 187000 miles.clutch bite very low.only new glowplugs filters etc.bit worried about cam belt cost new clutch on a car worth a grand.

interesting coment on cleaning intercooler . . if in dout about cam belt get it changed .A.S.A.P

cam belt six years old and 55000 miles by independent volvo dealer.says in books change interval 80000 miles or 7 years.i do not know cost of belt change but imagine £200 or so and clutch will be £350 ish?
