If its 75% of the T5 as a drive I'm having it, think my fear stems from reliability, I spent years sneering at Volvo's and now having owned such a good, reliable and swift car I have developed a fear of other brands, I drove a few Scanias back in the day so hopefully this will ease my transition. Ha

The ones with the HOT ( high output turbo) will be similar to the T5, the rest are a bit lame

I would be interested K. I was looking at a Saab my self but they don't get the same good reviews as Volvo on Parkers guide. Also consider they are really made by Vauxhall, the Diesels 1.9's are the same unit they put in the Vectra etc.

Thats why i'm going for the 2.3 apparently the rest arent up to much, was initially tempted by the 3.0 Diesel unit, but apparently these have a tendency to drop liners...yikes.

If anyone is interested then please do feel free to come and have a look at my car, just out of interest what's a fair price for my vehicle in this condition? Just in case i've set my reserve too low (or high)

Thanks K

If you go for the 'T' instead of the 't', they are just as powerful as a T5 i believe

A Saab 9-5 was on my 'list' when I got the Volvo. My only concern was that to get decent performance you needed the 'HOT' engine, and I was a bit worried about longevity of a Turbo engine blowing a very high boost pressure.

Have managed to get Billy from Gemini (merc specialist in Liverpool) to give the 9-5 a once over during the test drive, so hopefully any issues will get detected, as an aside the wife washed my Volvo fob and its stopped working now its fully dried out - fine when it was fresh out the washing machine.

Think this one is the t, but cheaper to insure will plug in a Maptun to take it where it belongs.....that is if I buy it of course.
