V70 Off-road??

Hello,

I'm looking at buying an XC70 for occasional shooting/fishing usage, bit of lamping and fields. However, also looking for good fuel economy and bit surprised that the best you'll get on a run from an XC70.

I spoke to a friend who has an Astra van who uses it for lamping, 2WD with snow tyres, and made me think about the V70 with snow/off-road tyres....anybody do this/done this? Had any experience of this at all?

I would recommend a XC70. Had two Vees before the current XC and I feel much more secure going off road in my XC. The XC's ground clearance works wonders. The P3 XC I have now also has much less rear overhang than the P1 and P2 Vees I had, which helps as well.
