Engine number
Greetings. Been around Volvos for quite a while and thought I had a fair understanding of the engine numbers of the nineties cars. Have seen a v70 with 1603608 and it has me stumped. This is according to the paperwork, haven't looked at the actual engine. Thought the all begun with a letter...

Just had a look at the V5 document for my V70[a January 2000 P1]and that gives engine number as a series of numbers like the one you've posted no letters in it at all.
