Default XC90 Left Headlight fault

Had this car around three years now, and this error code CEM-B128A01 is dogging me as i cannot seem to pinpoint the exact cause. The code relates to a general electrical failure and a temperature error, but does not pinpoint to any of the modules or the main light. No fault shows on the car, but is noticeable due to the bending and shadow features do not operate, although it occasionally does start to work normally. I have removed the light unit and inspected for water ingress etc, and while there i removed and treated the module sockets and plugs. If i try and clear the codes using VDash, the code just returns. If i opt to replace the light its around £3k, which i,m obviously not keen to do.
