thermostat housing
after changing the thermostat and encountering problems with the bolts force was used to free them, upon replacing the part coolant was leaking from what i think maybe where the thermostat housing bottom part fits to the engine block. to get this part off it is not covered in the haynes manual can any one help?
removal of the steering pump is my next option to see if this is wher the leak origionates and can be acsessed. |

RE: thermostat housing
are you sure you just havent nipped the seal on reassembly i replaced the stat on mine recently and had similar problems getting the bolts out and extreme force was required (1/2 breaker bar), however this should not cause leakage from the housing might be worth re-checking the stat seal before you rip it to bits if its defo the housing let us know and i will dig the parts catalog out to have a look
