okey doke, I've only got the two pics from an old brochure he gave me, but this should whet your appetite.

The guy actually asked me not to post his contact details on here, in his own words "The Volvo Owners' Club are a bunch of time-wasters who all want something for nothing" but if anybody really wants some contact details drop me a PM.

EDIT:

There's a member on here who runs a 960 or V90 (I forget which) ambulance, I believe it does the summer Volvo shows in the capacity of a first aid station! the one I saw in the flesh and got to have a clamber round inside was the same style and colour as the one below, though in UK ambulance markings

Thank you Wooble how very smart it looks too.OH and I think the second picture shows "MY" car at the front,,,Why? well minesa black six door so you never know?
I notice the stretch estate has a bonnet mascot, very naughty but nice. And the tints are tickety boo.
I've seen an ambulance to I think it was a v90,he comes to the BKV's and I bought some brochures off him last time.
In fact someone pointed out the fact I was in the driver mag crouched down looking through the sales brochures! The bumper edition with 2010 Southern BKV in it
Many Thanks Brian.

There is a White ambulance conversion running around here. No longer in ambulance mode though . I have seen it twice & both times have received a 'wave'. I think it is on a '44' plate which means it is registered in the next department , or county.. Hopefully one I'll get chance to stop , chat & get a pic!

You may have got me wrong there, the limo estate was sold off to an unknown guy in Wales, the chap who didn't want his details on the VOC was the original owner/owner of many interesting Volvos and parts and is based in Berkshire.

I mentioned he should try selling off his surplus parts and vehicles on here, and he said he used to have an account here years ago and made his statement about the members of the VOC! I think he may have had some bad experiences with troublesome buyers, I've had my fair share of trouble with a handful of 'bad egg' buyers on here in the past. He was a bit brief on the phone with me, but a nice guy in person, happy to talk Volvos for an hour and have a dig through his workshop for other parts I was looking for (even after he made his statement about the VOC).

I would really like to own the estate. Anyone know if there where any 960 versions built?

Hi, i've been directed here by Paul240480 as he's put the idea of owning a limo in my head! I'm currently following a 740 on FleaBay and feeling more and more like I want it with every passing moment - I have tentatively bid but someone outbid my initial cheap attempt...

After reading all of this thread I've still not been put off, and I've learned a few things to watch out for, so I think I may have to seriously recalculate my budget & make a sensible offer before it expire! Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi there Hope you get what your after,Seriously you will enjoy driving it.Just the same to maintain as a 740 saloon but smoother and quirky.

There are several on ebay at the moment-:
Two 740 limo's,

Two very nice "Black" 940 estates,

One 960 Limo,

And

One 960 limo and hearse.
And I'm sure I saw a black 240 saloon but can't seem to find it now?

Anyway I have had a quote for my roof to be sprayed as well as the bonnet. It's not going to be perfect as that would easily tripple the cost I've been quoted.

I'm going to post up some piccies of the worst bits for John to see.The first two are of the same worst bit which is lifting,And the others are of the bubbly rust bits. The fourth one is of the windscreen bodge.

I'm not complaining as I only paid scrap value for her so if I can contain the rust and make her look reasonable then I'll be happy.

Goodness only knows what happened to the roof in the past?Maybe it got danced on by a rugby team complete with studded boots?

Still having fun driving it to the shops as well as going to the "Midlands 120 meet" at the Wythall transport museum last weekend,I even won an award! It was for "Best open class under 30 year"I happened to be the youngest car there all the rest were over thirty years old,So I won as I was the only one in that category HaHa.

I only went to lend support for the new event.
Oh there were some very nice cars there.I really enjoyed meeting the folks too.Well done to classicswede AKA Dai Brace for organising it too.He travelled the furthest too.

I'm off to the Southern BKV at Popham next weekend as well but don't expect to win anything there.Hope to see a few of you there as well.

Regards Brian.

Just remembered the very nice 240 estate was a contender for the award I won, but the gentleman and his good lady went before the awards were given. It was very clean and was a K reg.
