A few people on here did not get their buttonless key fob.
This thread has made for some interesting reading... I recently bought a used S90 and recieved 2 key fobs, what is this third one that is being alluded to please?

Its a now generic term for the original aftermarket Ghost CANBUS immobiliser. It uses CAN inputs to engage the engine, for example you need to indicate right then left and flash the lights before the car will start. Its programmable as to what you need to do and in what order to start it. You cant beat them unless you can physically find them or force someone to tell you the sequence.

Its a great device your car is highly unlikely to be stolen without you knowing about it, or in eth very odd occurrence when one gets lifted by a Hiab.

It is for cars with keyless entry only, if you do not have keyless entry you will not get a buttonless key as you will not be able to use it to unlock your car.

Amazing how technology moves on. 20 years ago I used to take the rotor arm out of the distributor of my 1.6 Astra when I parked it....

Used to do the same on my '66 Herald I had as a student, until I stopped doing that in the hope that someone WOULD steal it.
Alas, no-one wanted it apparently

I bet you now wish you still had it. They fetch anything from £4k up

Re the Ghost, a good idea but Volvos are not listed in their compatibility guide.

It doesn't matter what you do. If someone wants it badly enough then they'll find a way to take it.
