Default SC-901 CD player slow to play CD

Hi, I have a SC-901 in my 99' C70 T5, which after loading in 3 CD's, takes up to a couple of minutes to play one of them... It sounds like it's scanning the whole CD before it starts playing track 1.

Anyone had similar problems? Is the laser dirty or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Are these regular music CDs or ones that you have burned yourself on a computer? I find that ones I do myself on the computer are very slow to play in the SC-901 but regular music CDs play just fine.

Rgds,

Yes, they are compilations I've burnt at home using CD-R's.... I'll have to try a bought CD to see if it's quicker... bit of a pain it taking so long...
