Very late 50s and have owned my first ovlov for 4 years now, a 240DL estate.

My first post
I’m 46 and have loved Volvo’s forever
Have driven them as soon as could reach the pedals

Parents cars
240 estate yellow inside and out
240 estate burgundy
440 GLE silver bought on launch night
Home the following lunch time
240 GLE blue

My cars
Couple of escorts, have to start somewhere
440 Li 1994 wine red bought new
S40 1.8 1998 silver, bought new
V40 1.9d sport 17”alloys silver, ex demo
Focus ecoboost 2013, new
V40 T2 R design, 2018 new😄

46 in a MK1 V70, previously 240,760 and 480ES

27 - on my third Volvo which is a 965 2.5 Manual.
Had previously:
944 LPT (tweaked to 12psi) 2014 - 2017 Made to sell by my missus!

S90 3.0 (bag of ****) 2016 - Sold to Doingitsideways for a project - scrapped now I think.

All of which have been cheaper to insure than a typical motor for a 20something!

I was born in 1981(so I'm a very young 56&#128513

Bought my first Volvo (145) when I was 26 and knocking loads of kids out! Needed the dickie seat! Always stuck with the 245/745/945 and V's... Nobody makes estates like Volvo (did) I still love my 04 V70 T5 manual 😊
Currently enjoying my fully loaded XC90 V8 Executive which IMHO is all one would ever need. Keep on rolling😉

I'm 39 and have an early P2 V70 T5 which is my second Volvo. My first was a 1989 745 GLE in close to mint condition which i bought at 35 and sold back to the previous owner last year.

Now 60 years old!
All estates, all auto, because multi dog household, PA systems, family.
I sometimes park up in IKEA, just for the smugness.
960 3 litre. fast but thirsty (205 bhp?). 3 years
960 2.3 HPT. 3 years
940 LPT, chipped, boosted, IPD sways. 7 years
940 LPT, sunroof and sways! 2 years so far, 120k.
I miss the power! but I still like sliding around, especially in the snow.
FWD feels like driving a washing machine.
Hot tip- know a Volvo specialist.

I turned 48 in August 2018

Stated off driving with a Volvo 854R...96 sold now drove it for 9yrs
Driving S70R.98...have it 4yrs & now my project car V70R Awd 99 owned it 1yr now...hope to own next S60R & 240Glt

47 Years Old.

Past Volvo's V50 D3 SeLux, V50 1.6 Drive and a 340 back in the 80's that was tank like!

Current Volvo is a S60 Cross Country 2016.

Always hankered after a 480 in my 20s - just never got round to it.
