Default Retro fit usb port

I seem to have bought a car without a usb input.
Its something I unfortunately overlooked.

Has anyone fitted one?

I came across this whilst searching
https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...10/all/all/all

Its probably ridiculously expensive but has it been done by a member? 🤔🤔

I don't have a USB either. You will find on the menu there won't be a USB option to select so when fitted the radio will have to be programmed to allow USB to be used. It will probably have to be done at volvo. I'm sure fitting is easy and the wires there ready.
Just for a cost area I had to have the aux port replaced in mine under warranty (didn't buy mine from volvo but they did the warranty job) . About £8 for the new aux port and an hours labour charge. Luckily I didn't have to pay.
The cost of having something switched on has put me off putting a USB port in. I just stick with the aux port myself and charge through the cigarette lighter if needed.

I had my usb interface replaced at Volvo as it died and stopped the radio from working as the while system is looped via optical cable.

The unit was £360 +vat and then there's software etc. Mine already had it fitted so wiring was in place so just unit to replace.

Ouch!
SWMBO has dropped a hint by buying me some CD's. 🙄
I shouldn't complain because a vinyl turn table would be a whole lot more tedious 😂
