Advice on XC60 R-DESIGN D5 AWD ?
Evening all,
Although I've gone through pretty much majority of posts within this section regarding what to be wary of but I thought seeing as I'm currently looking at buying a XC60 I'd use this as my first post on the forum to get some additional information on people's opinion/thoughts on 2015 XC60 R-Design D5 AWD with 84k on the clock ? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

I bought the exact same model earlier this year. Very happy with it.
I've been through it and done full service and changed nearly all fluids. Nothing untoward found except the Haldex oil. See my post below and suggest you have a check when you get yours. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=304136 I do have an issue with a whining noise at 20-25 mph when hot but not had a chance to investigate yet (I've done 11 miles since beginning of lockdown!)

As it happens, I also bought the exact same model earlier this year and am also very happy with it.
Other than changing the front discs and pads it hasn't really needed anything yet - then again it came home a fortnight or so before the lockdown, so it's not done too many miles yet in my hands. Oh the heater motor packed up on my way home from buying it, but that was covered under warranty - for which I am rather grateful as the bill from the dealer would likely have been scary Haldex and gearbox oil for me next. |

I too have the same model, but a late 2014 model, 48k miles. Bought it in March 2019.
Since then, I have replaced the front and rear disks and fitted four new tyres. Did have a problem with the rear off-side door not unlocking, but I put this down to lack of use (drivers door only was selected in the menu). When changed to unlock all 4 doors, the sticky lock un-stuck itself ;-) Also, have updated the satnav twice. It really is a joy to drive. 241A9039-Edit by Lawrence Fowler, on Flickr Lawrence
