Unhappy XC90 Accelerator & Brake Pedals Stiff

Hi- I bought a 53 plate XC90 T6 in October. I have been very happy with it after replacing a V70. However, I find I now get a sore foot when driving and can only put this down to the pedals. Both seem quite hard for what I am used to. The accelerator certainly has a long movement which I guess is normal and doesn't feel particularly stiff but on journeys hurts the sole of my foot after about 10 minutes os driving.

The brake is placed highly (I think) and needs quite a bit of strength to stop the car (since you are not using the engine to slow down).

Has anyone had experience of this and know if you can adjust the pedals to make them softer.

Thanks.

The throttle is electric so it can only be the pedal mechanism that's causing the problem. Some lubrication? Maybe changeing the seat position would give you a better position that you would find more comfortable. I did spend a bit of time tweaking my position for long journey comfort.

The brake pressure adjusts itself to what it thinks you need. I seem to remember that I used to think that the brakes needed a bit of force at times but either I've gotten used to it or the system has addapted it'self to me. I know the gearbox is adaptive to your driving style.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for that. I have spent a lot of time adjusting the seat position (too many options!) - I will look at lubrication and see if that helps.
