Difference between XC90 Active MY 2009 & 2010
On the XC90 is it the silver roof rails, colour coded wheel arches and the front grill? The 2010 model has this whilst the 2009 dosn't?
Should a October 2009 XC90 be 2010 spec? Last edited by Chris N; Mar 29th, 2010 at 16:51. |

Is the car registered in October 2009? If it is chances are it doesn't have the new spec. I took a test drive a day or so before I ordered in a car which had been delivered to the dealer the day before & it definitely didn't have the new spec. Mine was ordered at end Sept 09 & delivered around Christmas & didn't have the silver rails, colour coded arches or new badge, although another guy on here (gmac) ordered almost the same time & had the same delivery & his did have the new spec!

Mine was collected on the 15th October and doesn't have the new spec yet when I picked mine up there was one in the packaging off the transporter with the new spec. We must of just missed the changes.... ow well.
I don't mind the black roof rails as mine is black and they blend in well, I also think the new grill badge is awful! (sorry all you new XC90 owners) but it would of been nice to have the colour coded arches. No big loss though as it still looks nice with the 18" situla wheels. |

As I understand it.... An October 2009 registered Active is likely an MY10 before the silver rails and wheel arch changes. I have such a vehicle delivered Oct and thats the spec of mine. Then sometime shortly after, maybe Nov the spec of the MY10 changed to have silver bars and coded arches, it's almost like a MY10.5 Then now for new orders I think we are on to MY11 where there are more changes. Does that make any sense?? Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong :-) |

I was told mine is a 2010 model? hence I did not understand why I didn't have the coded wheel arches? yet the one at the dealers when I collected mine did and I was told that was a 2010 MY?

Jan2010 order, March2010 delivery, has above detail.
Also tinted rear windows. Don't think there was much out of the factory after mine before the MY11's, so would assume different spec must be '09 model? |
