There is a 164 for sale in the classifieds section on here. Not sure where it is located, though. You could probably get it for a good price, too.

Don't give up, keep looking for a 164! They do turn up on eBay, three or four cropped up last year. Get the best you can afford though- bodywork is either time consuming or expensive! They also appear on 'Classic and car sales' from time to time. Jimmy

cheers for the imput. do want the straight 6 but any classic volvo would be nice,can cope with bodywork as can mig weld which makes it easier. any 164 or 144/145 considered but looking cheap as possible. regards luke

Hello Luke, This is a little bit of a late reply to your original post but if you're still interested in having a straight six classic Volvo. I have an original 164 with 70,000 miles on the clock, dry stored since 1989 and needs a carb kit, new exhaust, brake overhaul and a fresh coat of paint. The car looks in good condition as far as rust is considered, column change, PAS, 1970 model with original full service history up until 1988. message me for more details.

Hi Luke, I also have a 164 that will be for sale soon, it's a 1972 car, taxed, MoT'd but does need some work to improve it. Car is based in Chester.
