Smile Volvo V70 T5 CD 20V Turbo Auto Low Mileage - £800

Hi all,

Due to me working away and downsizing our family home I am reluctantly selling my V70 :0(

Brighton, West Sussex area.

Details are: 1997 - R reg. V70 T5 CD 20V TURBO AUTO, 104,167 miles. Very good runner, CD model so comes with all the extras, electric sunroof, windows, memory seats, cruise control etc.. Full leather, heated front seats, tow bar, removable dog guard, luggage cover.

Extremely good interior given the age (I've had 1yr old's with worse interiors!) Exterior is in very good condition too, the odd very tiny blemish but nothing you can really see. 2 new front tyres.

No MOT or Tax hence low price, I will sell for £1200 with MOT. I have the failure note and had 2 garages both quote approx. £400 total for work required (All of which is "standard" for the age of vehicle).

If you were seriously interested but insisted on MOT I may consider getting it done but you may be able to get a better quote for the work so not much point.

Inspections welcome.

Call me if you have any queries - 07545 051 790.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam
What exactly does it need for the MOT?

Hi Adam

Good luck with the sale. You might help the process if were specific about te MoT failure points and any advisories.

Yoiu mention that they're typical and age-related. At £400 I'm guessing at things like suspennsion bushes or tyres etc.

With 12 months MoT and a low mileage for it's age your car is worth £1200, maybe more.

With no MoT it's worth not much more than scrap value sadly. Bear in mind that as it has no MoT a buyer couldn't legally even drive it home, as it's an auto the only transport option is a low-loader, which at £several per mile, severly restricts your potential target buyer to the immediate local vicinity.

Think of it this way, your buyer is going to have to arrange repairs and an MoT local to you before they can even drive the car, so unless they happen to live just around the corner it's limiting your market a bit.

Good luck

The car looks good in the pics and sounds nice in your description.

Cheers

Jack

Default MOT Failure Details:-

Thanks for the questions and thanks for the valid info Jack I had really thought about those points.

A few people tried calling me but I'm working in Austria at the moment so it's best to email up4hours@gmail.com

The MOT failure is as detailed:-

1. Offside front anti roll bar linkage has excessive play in all joint
2. As above but nearside. Costed at £14.70 each.
3. Offside front constant velocity joint gaiter damaged priced at £18.30
4.nearside front brake hose deteriorated £14.34
5. As above but offside £14.34
6. Rear brake pads £17.94
7. Nearside front lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint £118.80
8. Parking break deficient.

I was quoted aprox £400 inc parts and labour by 2 garages.

Call me on 07545 051 790 if interested.

Kind Regards,

Adam
