Stereo/DVD: - premium sound

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade to xc 90 from V70. My car has upgraded sound with a subwoofer under the cargo area. In all honesty it sounds superb and of more benifit to me than sat nav.

I have found an xc 90 with sat nav, i have done some research and found that if the car has premium sound it means 11 speakers and a sub, this is confirmed by a message at start up. I have asked the salesman if it says premium or high perfromance he says premuium, how can i check this when i view the car?

i also like the wood steering wheel. is this a retrofit option?

i have an xc90 with premium sound.the words premium sound will be displayed on the screen very briefly as the system is switched on.

i have just found more that the car has 3rd row a/c does this mean that this car has no subwoofer or is it located elsewhere?

I wouldn't think so as the third row air con is just extra ducting and a fan. It can't be retrofitted as an option though. Factory fit only for some reason, and the car does need it. Mine dosn't have it and the 3rd row passengers complain about the heat while I'm freezing in the front.

Sounds a nice car.

Roy, 3rd row aircon isn't just extra ducting and a fan, it's a whole seperate condenser unit linked to the AC compressor, with effectively "seperate" climate control for the rear..

Thanks Mike, I couldn't see a condensor on the drawing, I looked at so thought it was just the fan and ducting. Pity they didn't allow for it to be a retro fit. I'd have it like a shot. Even just a fan and ducts to even the front and rear temperatures out would be a help. The cold air just tends to sit at the front of the car.
