Default Sat nav - Train tracks?

My sat nav (V40 2017 Cross Country Pro) shows train type tracks and I can’t get rid of them. When I start the car and the sat nav initially fires up it doesn’t show the tracks for a few seconds. If I open up the sat nav the tracks go.

Any advice appreciated (pictures below):

I am absolutely sure they are not train lines because if I have all these train lines going through my home (or underground) its news to me.

I just meant to describe what they looked like to me, but if are topological levels (or train lines), any help to get rid of them would be appreciated.

I have done a reset to no avail, but there is no disc for the sat nav.

Download the latest map from Volvo and install, if that doesn't sort it you could try taking the battery off for a while to drain the car of energy, if that doesn't work I'd say there's something wrong with the display unit itself as your pic seems to indicate it's not able to focus properly when you zoom in, the marks are roads that have bled over like dead pixels but the other pic shows the screen doesn't have any dead pixels.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been trying to download the updates for days on and off, so unsure if my laptop is playing up or if this is the norm (my maps were last updated approx 12 months ago by the garage I bought the car from, but if I eventually get all the sat nav updates I will try it.

I guess it’s worth disconnecting the battery for a while just in case it resolves the problem.

I now have 35 updates on my laptop and my sat nav was only updated a year ago so I wonder when this will end?

If you set your nav to display 3D and on max zoom does it still do that?
