WHAT A GREAT CAR!!!! I feel the luckiest person in this forum today. Drove the car back, and just got back a few minutes ago. There was an accident on the M25 between Junction 6 and 5 and it was closed down. We took the exit on Junction 6 and took the A25. What a drive!!!!!! Stopped on the way to a tiny pub with folklore music and had a Red Bull each and use of the "facilities". On our way after that and again..... what a ride. Now I understand why people go on and on about T4s. I thought I was happy with my Diesel which I am, but after driving the T4...........
When we hit the M25 the computer trip showed 49.4MPG at 65-70 which is just about 10MPG less that the 1.9D. I then tried 3rd gear on the A13 going within the speed limit of course and WOW!!! I just need to find out if it is the alternator pulley or the Power steering pump pulley and sort it out. A million thanks to Benf for being honest about the car and I wish more sellers were like him. I was expecting the leather to be okeyish but it was much much better that I expected (I couldn't really see any faults on it.... ). I think Benf was trying to be too honest and was trying to find faults on the car. What a great buy. Many many thanks Benf.

Indeed... I am really glad I opted for a car from this forum instead of ebay. As long as the seller is a member of this forum for a while and participates here, you would expect them to be more honest about their motors. And Benf was one of these guys and I much much appreciate it.

haha ! Now you have the turbo charged petrol bug, there is no going back to a oil burner
Just I am fussy about cars and I tend to spot cosmetic things. I've had a car salesman 'tut' at me once :P

No one is driving my T4.... Don't take me wrong, the Diesel is a very nice car to drive and I love it. But when I drove the T4 it was a completely new experience. I don't consider myself a petrolhead and I normally drive like a granny. My gf is the aggressive one driving like a maniac. But this T4 unleashed a part of myself I was never aware of.... lol.

"49.4MPG at 65-70"
down hill, wind behind you, flat cap on, truck in front of you? That said, looks like a great car. I'd love a T4 but the insurance + petrol would kill me. Last edited by mechakev; Sep 20th, 2011 at 20:01. |

The T4 is only about 10 mpg less than my 1.9D on the motorway. Where I think the T4 will drink a lot more is on lower gears and city driving. Trust me. I thought it was going to drink petrol but it seems to be more economical than the standard 2.0l one with no turbo
