pphilpot might have a point about the economy - there was an 05 Mazda 6 estate on AutoTrader this week for £2000 in "excellent" condition with FSH and 1 previous owner but high mileage (135k in 7 years implies lots of safe motorway cruising). I'm always amazed at the bargains out there to be had at the moment. Seems a shame that you can't get much for yours but it makes one less intent on demanding a lot for an older car too - I'd be delighted to get a grand for mine, if offered, which seems stupidly low to me, but judging by your experience, perhaps it's pretty high!

The second hand car world needs more people who are willing to accept a cut price offer for their car then we will all get nicer cars for less money

I agree that more photos would be good. It does look lovely but you're not really getting a clear view of it in all its glory. I don't agree about not showing the tailpipe though as it's quite attractive :-)

I think you may have done yourself a disservice by being so honest about the engine being knackered when you first got it though. At the end of the day if it's up to spec now is there any need to disclose that information as it will just put people off imo.

Get it on Gumtree, apparently it's amazing ;-)

£510 for a 2.0T lol
'kin 'ell... didn't realise its /that/ expensive to insure.... what about TPFT... ? Unless the car is worth ****loads I wouldn't ever insure a car fully comp.

you could try insuring early T4's through a classic policy if its over 15 years old...

It's strange because that was for a new 12 month quote

I've only got a 1997 corsa 1.4i at the moment, gonna buy a T4 next week (if all goes well)

My insurance company want £270 more, that's it :/ I only took out the policy about 3 months ago so £270 more for the remaining 9 months on the policy seems a bargain to me! And yes, they did get the details 100% correct
