Car is very wallowy so just wanted to stiffen it up.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Yes I did get my car sorted.

If you tried fitting Bilsteins then you must have ordered the wrong part as they have shocks and struts that fit our cars. Koni Special Active are also available.

I fitted a pair of Volvo self leveling Nivomat shocks (Part: 31302603) to the rear and they've transformed the car. The nivomats are normally paired with a lighter spring but I left my original stiffer springs on. The car remains very comfortable on a normal drive but when driven hard or on a country road the rear stiffens up and the car remains stable. They are also great for towing. It's an expensive way out but was well worth it for me.

I later replaced the front struts with Bilstein B6's (R: 35-144977; L: 35-144960) which improved things even further.

The rears are quick and easy to replace but I wouldn't attempt to do the struts myself.

Hope that helps.
