New additions
Hi,
I bought a second hand 2013 XC90 D5(200) from the Volvo dealer recently but it's pretty bare. No navigation, bluetooth, heated seats, etc. Are there any extras that I can add on? Do Volvo offer this or is it done privately? Thanks VC |

Hello, and welcome to XC90 ownership.
None of the items which you've listed can be added post-manufacturing by your Volvo dealer. Most (if not all) are technically impossible and that not withstanding, would be prohibitively expensive. (Possible exception is Bluetooth, if you don't have Volvo-on-call but even then, I'm not sure that the parts are still available) Useful additions which I know can be made by Volvo are front-parking sensors and a rear parking camera (if you like that kind of thing, as I know I do). Tow bars, roof rails, roof boxes and bike carriers are all available. But the best value for money Volvo OEM add-ons, in my book, have to be the heavy rubber floor mats and boot mat protector. |

Thanks for your post, the ones youve mentioned are the ones I’ve seen. Ill probably get a roof rack ar some point however i dont have a screen so dont think i can get a rear parking camera.
Thanks VC |

There are some great aftermarket options for ICE and satnav which provide the screen and and camera plus latest bluetooth and ipod connectivity:
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...=226118&page=2 or https://www.cartronics.co.uk/Volvo-xc90-dash-sat-nav I cannot justify ripping out the Volvo Satnav on mine as is OK but not brilliant - you do not have this problem! |

As has been said - retro fitting the genuine Volvo parts is likely to be prohibitively expensive if possible at all.
For Bluetooth I would recommend the Bury CC9068 kit, when I fitted mine I wired it only to the front driver side speakers only - this means that you have to turn off the radio when you get a call but it doesn't then mute the rear parking sensors. With regard to heated seats you can get generic retro-fit kits on ebay for less that £100. Fitting is fiddly but not rocket science - best to get a experienced car seat trimmer to do it so they don't disturb the airbags in the side of the seat. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Heate...MAAOSwi3ta2kmJ I would not fit second have Volvo seats as they need the proper electronics to control them.

I fitted an Android navigation system (that goes where the screen should be) which also has bluetooth hands-free and it has an input for a reverse camera.
