Volvo s40 1.8 sport 2002
hello, im selling my volvo s40 1.8 sport 2002 (52) petrol, in black with sport extras inc factroy body kit multi spoke alloys, it has electric windows/mirrors trip computer remote central locking with two fobs heated seats AC.
I have owned this car now for over two years and im wanting a diesel next it has part service history and has just passed its MOT the other day and taxd till the end of august. The car has a few problems though from what i have been told it needs a VVT pulley, and just today the fuel gauge stopped working but im gonna try and see if i can fix it condition of the vehicle is fair on the outside and clean inside if you want pictures please send me your e mail address and i will send them for you looking for £1100 ono |

the fuel gauge is now fixed, forgot to mention that the car has 71k on the clock but it will change as im using the car

Reasonable price. whatcar valued your car at 1,660 private and with the VVT fault at least 300 has to come off taking the price to 1,360. Perfectly good price for that year mate.

i think you're really going to struggle selling with the vvt fault, anyone that doesnt actually know what the noise is or never heard it before will walk away within seconds
have you thought about fixing the vvt first? |

Not necessarily. He could obtain a quote for the repair. Also if he chooses to, he could try and get away with not mentioning the VVT fault at all.
Yes the symptoms will be there, but depending on how long the car has had the fault it may be harder for the new owner to notice. Mine in the early stages was a bit tappety and performance at certain points was poor, but it was definitely something someone may not notice.
