I recently bought a full cruise control kit for a Volvo engined 1.8 from Gatos, however sadly a change in circumstances means it's unlikely that I'll end up using it - let me know if you'd be interested. I believe that there are some differences according to which CEM you have, mine is to suit a car with CEM part no. 30621305 The only thing to bear in mind is that as I haven't fitted the kit I won't be able to offer much in the way of support/advice. Regards, Dave.

I believe I just need the ecu/lockset/flipkeys from what Gatos has told me.
I already have the switch on the pedal and the indicator stalk. As for price, I'm unsure Gatos are you there? Anyone? Incidentally does this car you are breaking have the Info Centre? If so I'd be very interested in the Instrument Cluster and some of the behind dash wiring. |

you can prob save yourself a lot of hassle by just switching the blade from your key into the new one.
I have the cluster with mileage displaying 117,000, the info centre knob is there also and I can remove whatever wiring you need from behind the dash |

Brent asked me to come over here and have a quick look.
My first question, is what year is your car boyracer and which engine do you have? The 115Bhp D4192T3 or the 102Bhp D4192T4 one? Also, do you have the flip key, or the separate key and fob. With regards to price, not sure really, as it is not something that many people are prepared to do, so I don't think any of them have ever sold for the 1.9D. Considering that the CC for the pertol models goes for around £50-£60, I would say that a price in that range for the 1.9D would be reasonable. But after all, this is between you guys Depending on whether you have the flip key with the incorporated fob, or the separate key and fob, this is what is needed to get it working on another car - ECU (located in the engine bay) - Immobiliser Contol Unit (small blue box above the CEM) - lock barrel from steering column - Lock barrels from the drivers door, boot and glovebox - CC indicator stalk (Brent already has this) - Brake cut off plunger switch on the brake pedal (Brent already has this) - If you have the flip key, then you will also need the lock alarm receiving unit (grey box under the radio) Boyracer, if you have any more questions of what is where and how to remove things, feel free to ask and I will help where I can PS. With regards to the instrument cluster, make sure it is the one with the 3 dials and not the one with the 4 dials (2 big and 2 small ones)...., as this is what Brent currently has on his car

thanks for that info, much appreciated.
i have all that you listed, i will compile the parts and post a few photos to make sure i have it all. as for the price, i had a look on ebay and the lock set with ecu etc seem to be around that money, the cruise parts il throw in for free. say £60 delivered for the lot seems fair to me. the car is 2002 v40 115bhp 1.9d with the flip key unfortunately the clocks i have are the four gauge type so i guess they are no use. il hopefully get a photo up tomorrow evening of everything and you can maybe run your eye over it to make sure its all correct thanks |
