First Line are usually good kit although they're now owned by Borg & Beck or maybe own Borg & Beck - not sure which - and quality seems to have slipped a little.
See if you can find a Blue Print one Laney, they're OE kit on many Japanese motors and usually good quality. Alternatively, try https://www.rockauto.com/ They usually have several options available. Just checked and there are : https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ater+pump,2208 Priced from about £17 to about £40, you'll also have to pay S&H (USA version of P&P) and probably 20% Import VAT + £8 to the Royal Mail for collecting the 20% and a currency exchange fee but there are several options there. There's a Gates one for about £17 or there's a Beck-Arnley for about £40 with a 3 year/50000 mile guarantee.

What failed with the pump? It didn’t circulate the water anymore or just the well known lekkage on topseal? I think most are replaced becouse of a seal issue as stated before here in this topic.

Give someone the right information that a certain part is of poor quality and expensive for what it is yet they still insist on buying said part rather than better alternatives. |

I got one from partsforvolvos and it was rubbish. The pipe that goes into the back of the pump didnt fit in the hole in the back of the pump. It wasn't even close to fitting, the casting was terrible. I ended up fitting another old original Volvo one I had on a spare engine.
Both my original Volvo ones had plastic or some kind of composite impeller. They certainly looked like they would do a better job of moving water that the intended replacement that had a rough cast impeller. |

I'm confused. My original Volvo one lasted over 20 years and over 150K miles. Are you saying that if I can get an original Volvo one they are now not made the same as they were?

Exactly that. Buy a pump from Volvo and you get a cheap poorly made pump that will not last. There are a few parts now like that so you have to be more savvy about what you do or don't buy from Volvo these days |
