Default Auto speed limiter

Hi All,

Yesterday did a rather long 340 mile trip in the V90, mostly motorway and A roads and I experimented with the Automatic speed sign recognition - used it for over 300 miles. It took rather a lot of getting used to as its strange when the accelerator position doesn't increase the speed once you have reached the speed limit for the road.

What I found really interesting was that at junctions, roundabouts and entrance/ exist slips / road merging the car would allow me to exceed the speed limit, but as soon as I had passed that section of road it it was back to the speed limit - anyone know if this is done via the camera or is it through the mapping?

Entering a lower speed limit is rather abrupt and it doesn't anticipate the change even though the camera / map knows the speed limit is about to change, so its very harsh breaking especially when entering a 50mph zone, think Volvo could work on that, but the cameras were very accurate picking up the correct speed for the road I was on, even when the slip road had large 50mph signs.

For those interested in fuel economy I averaged 58.6 mpg for the trip which wasn't bad considering it was mostly at 70mph with the kids and car fully loaded.
