Emergency Sump Needed for 2.5 TDI D5252T
Hit a pot hole on the way home from work today, and shortly after the low water level light came on. Stopped and the impact had caused one of the heating hoses that connects into the bulkhead to pop out. Reconnected hose and topped up the water.
Got home and a noticed huge rainbow oil slick was spreading out from the car. The impact cracked my ****ing sump!! Need a new sump ASAP. Would any of the Irish boys have one going that I could collect this evening/tomorrow? I'm in Fermanagh. There's a breakers near me that I know might have one, but need a contingency plan if they don't. VAG part number 074103603k

Unfortunately, I can't help you with a sump and, as you most probably know, not the easiest of jobs without suitable lifting equipment. Do you reckon you could get someone to possibly weld it?
How about someone breaking a VW Transporter/Caravelle (T4) 2.5 ? I was offered a complete V70 2.5D, a few months ago, but it's located a good hour south west of Limerick. I think there was a chap in Westmeath breaking a 2.5D

Good shout Baffler, thanks!
Actually I did not know what a bitch of a job it is, but I do now lol. Holy mother of flip, such a handling to get a bloody sump off! My efforts have been thwarted by one of the hose bolts on the steering rack being completely seized into it. Gonna have to cut it off now

Yes, I thought it was a dog of a job after I started, but it's turned out to be an utter ****!
In order to get the sump off you've to take off the timing belt guards, PAS steering pipes, intercooler hose and the driveshaft support bearing mount. Of course the last PAS hose had to be seized into the rack so have ended up having to cut it off and will have to get a new end put on it. I still have to very delicately cut the seized nut out of the rack, and try not to wreck the threads
