Default fuel pump control module

Have the engine management light come on and a look with vida seems to point to the fuel pump control module. My old one on the 2005 T5 V70 has the part numbers 0580001002 and 30742823 which is correct on vida. An enquiry at the local Volvo main dealers has got the price for a cure to over £1300.00.
This is made up of £830 + VAT for the module which they say needs programming to suit the vehicle and a diagnostics check before ordering the part to check that is the problem. The engine runs fine at present apart from the light and has passed the emissions on an MOT. I have just received a used module from off ebay which I will try tomorrow but the part numbers are 0580001002 and 30636431. I just wondered if anybody could tell me which model this is off as I presume the first number is a bosch part number and the other is Volvos number.

There should be no worries about the parts numbers, more related to the way it attaches to the car, same for the programming. Volvo says about many modules they need programmed

Keep us updated after swapping it, but from what I remember these don't throw check engine lights, just stall/non start situations

You can type in the part number in the search tab in Vida and it will tell you.

In the Removal, Replacement and Overhaul section of the Information tab in Vida, the replacement guide will also tell you if calibration or coding is required.

I needed one with the Bosch# 0580 001 002 for my 2004 v70 T5, ended up with the Bosch# 0580 001 007 which worked fine, plug n play no coding and only £30
I only searched for the Bosch part number, don't know if the other number has any significance.

Thanks for the replies, here is the update:- Changed module and cancelled management light, started engine and all running fine. Went out later in day during which engine stopped and started a few times ( intentionally ) and on popped the management light again so it would appear that the fuel pump control module is not the problem. Feeling very pleased at not having given the Volvo dealer £1300 I plugged in vida and got the same fault code as before which is
ECM 2900 fuel pressure faulty signal
I have already replaced the sensor on the end of the fuel rail so wondered if anybody could point me to the next thing to check as I am only conversant with the basics on my vida.
Thanks

On the Diagnostics>Fault Trace screen click on ECM 2900 code then click View Information at the bottom of the screen.
It will explain why the code is triggered and give you the possible sources to work through and eliminate.

You can also view the fuel pressure and the tank pump duty cycle in Diagnostics >Vehicle Communication >ECM >Parameters and view the tank valve operation in REM Parameter

If you take the time to familiarise yourself with Vida's many functions, it will pay huge dividends.

Positive is the correct number for the sensor ? Engines has different sensor, a good place for fitting is Fcpeuro.com press the Fitment button
