Maybe? Can someone clarify?

My Dad told me to grease them otherwise they would stick to the wheel and be hard to undo and also crack the paint

thanks very much! My Dad kept trying to tell me to have them powder coated and he said he would pay for them and I said "No because then none of it is my work" (plus I wouldnt trust myself not to kerb them in my first few years of driving! My Dad would go ballistic because he would see them as his wheels if he paid for the powder coating lol)
