Thanks - the autojumble sounds good & piloting an Amazon around central London is probably good practice for driving tests!!!

Looks like I'll be there. The chances of me winning the 300 series section again? Zero...

cheers

Why is the BKV always at least 200 miles away from us? Oh! I forgot that little island off the coast of N. Wales is not the centre of Britain (thank goodness). Now you know why I do such high mileages - it's 100 miles to civilisation from here.

Come enter it into the bkv. No volvo should be parked in the car park. In any condition they are all worth showing.

Try living over here in Northern Ireland. It always needs a ferry or plane journey to visit any car show on the mainland. At least you can drive across.

Dai - are you sure? This photo is probably the only one which truly shows the high quality of the paintwork:

Yes - I have to agree its a lot cheaper and easier for us. I wasn't really having a moan just a friendly dig at some of those who are at the centre of civilisation and need overnight accomodation if the event is a 100 miles away!

Hope you can manage the trip[ to the BKV

Mike

I've got a small trip this year a mere 100 miles. Has been over 200 the last two years. 100 miles is'nt much I do 120 to the Crooked Billet and it's always worth it. To be honest I'd rather it was more that 200 to the BKV. A rather small 100 mile's isn't much of a road trip is it.

100% sure. A car like yours is far more interesting to look at the a fully restored example.
I went to a the Austin ten drivers club show a few years ago (I have a 1935 12/4 ascot) there was a guy with a restoration project there he his car had ten times more interest then all the other cars there put together.
So the answer is put your car on display and be proud of it. Treat it as a chance for ppl to look at your car and enjoy it.

Thanks Dai! I agree with you that a car with plenty of patina is of so much more interest than a clinical restoration. Every scrape, dent and patch of rust tells a story

I really ought to give it a wash first, but on second thoughts......
Is it a case of turn up on the day, or is pre-entry required? Also, are plaques in the windscreen with a history of the car, restoration pics etc normal? If so I shall have to write something suitably tongue-in-cheek
