It got me thinking about that footage where a copper got a blow out at like 120mph! Didn't realise that followed on to the end of the above video!
Odd cos I always thought that copper was a good driver based on how well he controlled that blow out!
Now I think I might take it back!

totally the traffic cop's fault and irresponsible attitude and driving technique.

he is an accident waiting to happen IMHO.

sad really if this is the calibre of traffic cops on our roads these days.

On the back of many trucks you can see a sticker which says 'If you cannot see my mirrors I cannot see you' if you watch the video you can't see the truck's mirror until the car is practically alongside the rear of the truck as they are on a left hand bend, doubt if the truck driver saw him at all. The glancing blow from the car will also not have made much impression on the truck either, I've had a van completely rip it's side out on the back of my truck and all I felt was a slight jolt like going over a pothole.

I haven't read all of the replies but if you look carefully that lorry driver was indicating way before he moved over he wouldn't have seen the police car. But he should've kept on using his mirrors and the copper should've seen the lorries indicators.

That coppers cursed.... Blows a tyre off and wrecks a police car and then gets mashed by a truck. He should be put behind a desk where he's not a danger to other motorists

My step father retired from the police force 30 years ago, he started off in a motorway patrol car & he kept crashing that, so they put him in a Panda patrol car & he kept crashing that, so they put him on a police motorcycle & he kept crashing that, so he ended up on a bicycle as a community police officer lol.

My friend's dad was a policeman and managed to roll a few vehicles including a transit. Maybe some people haven't got the magic touch!

I was in a police transit during a (very brief) police chase*. They can corner much harder than you'd expect.

*I'd been knocked off my bike by a driver who didn't stop, but as the police officer drove my bruised self and bent bike back to my house, the car that did it drove in front of us. Cue sirens.

I was smashed into when a Police Golf Estate that ran a red light and thankfully written off my Mondeo (thank you Strathclyde polis I hated that car about three days after buying it) It's scary how many Police vehicles are involved in RTC.

My dad got hit by a police car doing 90 in a 30 zone with no blue lights. He saw a car a couple of hundred metres away and pulled out and they hit the side of him.

They tried to prosecute him for dangerous driving...
