What are they called?
I had Volvo remove a door card during a service (sticky window) and they "forgot" to replace the nasty little push in spring loaded clips that hold the panel on. These are the same things in the boot holding down the carpets. They look like big plastic pop rivets. You guys know!
What are they officially called? Given that they are fitted everywhere for just about everything...Why do they have to be ordered from Sweden and take weeks? Don't Volvo have spares FFS? Can they be bought elsewhere? Any help would be gratefully received, with thanks! |

Many motor factors will carry a selection of generic clips that may do the job. At least one in my area does. My local land-rover dealer also sells cheaper factor parts that match dealer part numbers. My dealer gets parts for sweden in 3 days so ask your why it will take weeks, I suspect they don't want to supply you. Paul. |

They are willing to! But...... Don't keep them in stock 🤔.
Plastic, fragile and fiddley I'm sure they must get through many! Surely they keep screws, nuts and bolts ? Disappointing indeed! Thanks for the input. |

My local dealer is very good for parts supply.
Anything ordered for my V40 before 10.00am is ready for collection after 4.00pm same day. Parts for the C70 usually come from Sweden, with profuse apologies from the parts Chappie that they will take 3 days. Always get a text to say the parts are ready for collection. Seems you have a cr*p dealer: 1st for messing up the original job with shoddy workmanship, 2nd not being proactive in putting it right and 3rd giving you the run around regarding supply of the correct clips. As others have said a quick search on ebay should find the correct clips at a fraction of the dealer price.

That's brilliant! Many thanks.
The dealership has been very good (at a cost!) until this.....It may just be a "communication error" between parts, service and mechanics. Or they genuinely don't carry extra clips, but I don't see how! Thanks again! |
