I've thought of doing this. Make it much easier to watch movies while I'm driving!

Absolutely no point that i can see - I have actually found that a few bits of the tech that Volvo have installed in the car are pointless for me - this being one, another being the voice control and most certainly internet browsing.
Why I ask myself; and even then I still stumped as to what use they are meant to be.

I think it is supposed to help keep your children quiet, WiFi normally does that anyway.

With how wide spread 4G is and most phones have built in hotspots, I personally wouldn't bother.
