I wouldn't describe a T5 as a nippy little sports car, it should however be quick. Maximum power is at the top of the rev range so be prepared to wind it up to the red line if you really want to accelerate, it should be willing to do this. Despite the capability, I find that because it handles so well and feels so solid, the true indication of speed only comes from the speedometer, accelerate hard from the lights and its not until you look at the dial you realise ... oops!

Mine feels the same but mines a gaytronic. check the regular things like its been serviced with oil and filters, correct turbo sparkplugs (volvo), air filter, and check all pipes for intercooler and tcv.
Thats all i can suggest as a place to start. I noticed a good difference when I replaced my TCV but your right there is no feel of being pushed into your seat..
I miss the torque of my D5 :-(

regards

I thought the 2.5 wasnt as powerful??!!

I am having this problem also as it seems to be struggling anything above 120mph will be replacing the Boost solenoid when I can source one and looking at changing to silicone hoses and changing the recirc valve to a forge twin piston as it also could be leaking boost through that.

After that I am stumped to what the problem is.
