Alarm question
Hi. I have a 2014 V70 estate.
Is it possible to lock the car with my dog in the boot and not set off the alarm? The manual says it should only detect movement in the passenger area but this is not the case. Thanks in advance for any advice |

The movement sensors in the car are turned off when you inactivate the deadlocking system through the My Car menu. It 's on page 62 of my manual but I'm not sure if your manual is the same as mine which is a 2012 car. Being able to disable the movement sensors is pretty usual on most cars so I suspect that it will apply to yours but the instructions are just a little opaque. Look in the locking and deadlocking areas on the manual although it does actually say it in the alarm section.

Mine is a switch on the centre console as it's a 2008.
I believe yours is the same as above ^^ in the menu you have 2 options... 1 Activate once. So will revert back to full guard next time or 2 Ask on leaving, which I presume is the one you need if you intend to leave the dog in. And will ask every time you park up.
