V70: - 2.4 petrol auto

Hi there, i'm new to this forum hopefully someone can assist I've owned 3 Volvo's in the past a S40 t4 , a S60 and a V70 '03 2.4 estate auto, this is the vehicle that is causing me a bit of a hassle, it is an intermittent gearbox fault that occurs after the car has been cruising when i slow down in traffic and the start to accelerate the revs rise but no gear change then it slams to the up change (i can try to feather the accelerator until i get a change but this is becoming more difficult and the problem is getting worse) i have had 197K faultless driving this problem first occurred at 123K i did 2 full fluid changes over a 6 month period the fault only returned after 6 months and then few sporadic (once to goes away in a day it does not return, it is really doing my head in and the car is to good to get rid of and is my work horse affectionately referred to as the Granddad mobile................. any advice would be greatly be appreciated !!!

Had a gearbox problem in my V70 P2, would not reverse uphill.
May need the software updated, or the b4 servo repaired.
Make certain you're using the correct fluid...think it may be mobil3309
