I have fixed beams on my S90 and recently i traveled through France, Belgium,Holland and Germany. No issues what so ever with the beam facing oncoming traffic.

Tem, are your part numbers of your active main beam headlights different to mine. Mine are 31420259 and 31420260. If they are different , what are your part numbers.? The part number is on the back of the headlight and will have next to it, LHT ( left hand traffic) and either rhs or lhs depending on which headlight it is. A friend of mine has a theory that both tyoes of active headlights are the same but have different software. I think they are different headlights altogether.

On reflection, I have the Volvo Thor lights.
These are different to what are fitted to the old style XC60?

Yup, you could be right on that one.
Has anyone else out there got active main beam headlights? Could you find the time to a have a swift look under the bonnet at the part number to see if its different to mine? See the previous post for my part numbers.

I think that you may get a better response if you post on the forum that is applicable to your model of XC60:
