Thanks for the help and advice.
I've ordered a Brink detachable from PF Jones.
Also ordered a Volvo wiring kit from FRF but they now only come in 13 pin so will have to get an adaptor to 7 pin.
Should have it all by next week so will let you know how I get on.
Also need to do the 140 mile round trip to Swansea to get it on the computer so maybe the electrics may have to wait for a while until I get time.

I think all are 13pin now I have the Volvo adapter but it’s same as most others..... twists in. The cover I have has a gap round the top I keep meaning to try and warm it up and get it to fit a bit closer.

I use an adaptor for the moment but once I get my own trailer I intend to change it's 7 pin plug to a 13 pin plug. Apart from being cheap and easy to do, it also gives me the opportunity to fit a fog light and reversing light to the trailer.

By the way, I have read in the forum somewhere that some of the non-volvo 7 to 13 adaptors don't allow all the trailer module functions to work correctly so probably best to pick up one of those from FRF while you are there.

So the towbar came early and I fitted it this morning without any grief.
The only issue I have is fitting the electric kit that came with no instructions.
Does it just connect to the module and then earth? If so how does it know when to switch the lights on and off?
The ones I have fitted previously have fitted inline.
Confused ???

Now sorted once I'd managed to download the correct instructions.
