What’s it worth? 2005 S60 D5 crossover model.
Im having to give in and accept that a manual car doesn’t work for me anymore and at 33 years old my knee has had enough! Hence I will be shortly letting my s60 go - I just need to get a grip on what it’s worth.
I’m doing some checks on eBay but s60’s seem to vary between £11.75 and £8k depending on the seller 😂😂 So help me! 2005/05 S60 D5 163 facelift (crossover) 115k with decent history (just serviced and brakes all round last month including new rear calipers) 10/11 months MOT Magic Blue (roof rails have some lacquer peel) but in generally good nick Cream interior (isofix fitted - but a small rip in the back seat thanks to a child seat!) Is on 18” XC90 BBS wheels (ok condition) , lowered on Kilen springs and has a Grom BT unit fitted. Would I be pushing it to start at say £2250? |

Forgot to add it’s had the usual updated Meyle drop links fitted along with power flex poly bushed lower arms.
Also less than 6 months ago a new intercooler and air con rad! |

Last week I bought an S60 D5 SE auto with 93k miles for £900 from BCA. Lovely car with good service history and came ready dented with scrapes down both sides - hence the price!
Drives fine though and gearbox is good and everything else works as it should. This week I changed the belts, idlers and tensioners and I've now done 300 miles and averaged 57mpg. Superb car and no worries about leaving it anywhere! All I need now are some smaller wheels - 17 in with low profile are pretty uncomfortable unless on motorways. But as you indicate prices are all over the place. I saw a similar one near me for sale this week for £2500 and it had similar dents to mine! Just a few months ago I saw a perfect one go at BCA for £900 and only 80k miles which then appeared at a garage for £3k or thereabouts. So I think you need to see what's being asked for similar cars near you to get a better idea of what to ask. Good luck with your sale.

If prices are as variable as the S80 then the range you quoted is probably a good indicator. (I saw them from 8-10k down to under £700) I think really the above advice is sound, just see what's in your area in similar condition and go from there (or if you have the time, start high and gradually reduce until you start getting interest).
£2250 sounds fair though, if that's what it owes you then start there.
