If this the 6-spd transmission (TF-80SC), then it does not have a dipstick.
That could explain why I can't find it. Doh......

I'll have a closer look tomorrow morning in the "day"light. Cheers all. AG

No dipstick visible, so must be a six speed. AG

Can't you tell from inside the vehicle whether it is a 6-spd? Looking in the engine compartment and not finding a dipstick is not the recommended way to determine which transmission you have.

Is it a geartronic? That is, can you shift the gear shifter laterally and operate the gears manually by pushing the lever forward or back? If so, when you are cruising at 60 or 70 mph and you shift to manual control, what number appears in the gear display in the instrument panel?

Hi Jim, yes it's a geartronic, and I'm pretty certain now it's a six speed. I'll check that out next time I'm cruising. Cheers. AG
