It's worth checking around for what is the optimum battery for your car.
When I changed mine this month, the existing Volvo branded battery was 520 CCA, 70A/H but all the recommended replacement batteries are physically larger (I noted the battery clamp has 2 positions) and are all 680-720CCA. A couple of phone calls unearthed that I had an '075' battery which is not generally recommended as it should ideally be an '096' type. So, for a few quid extra I upped the CCAs from 520 to 680 which is quite a hike. How my car came to have a lower spec battery is a mystery but as I was replacing it, for the minimal extra money it was well worth upping the power by a significant margin.

The tone of this advertising is designed to appeal to the unwise and unwary.
The original battery is still starting my 2004 V70 just fine. It would seem that the Volvo battery is well made, and I intend to replace it with another one of the same quality and provenance. But whichever one you get, be sure it collects hydrogen and has a nipple to vent hydrogen through the hose which goes to the outside through the floor.

The 019 size will fit all P2 V70s , I fitted this size replacement in my V70 D5 but not the same brand , I think S60 has the same size battery tray and adjustment steps in the base plate . I agree with Jim314 dont know who makes this battery , I have had a few duds made in China recently with dodgy brand names , not sure about Powerline though never heard of them, where is it made ? The claimed 860A cca of the Powerline is higher than the original 800A battery fitted by Volvo , I would be wanting some proof of this capability , the seller is not saying much about it .

Just get one from a Volvo dealer, as has been said they last well and surprisingly for Volvo parts not really any more expensive than other places. If only other parts were the same.

For a more compact battery with even greater CCA of 815A consider the Optima RedTop, only one slight issue is getting the cars battery leads to connect to it depending upon the terminals on the end of the cars wiring, cracking battery though and quite small for a high capacity due to the plate construction - Mike
