Engine Coolant drain tap?
Does anyone know where this tap is?
I want to replace the coolant on my 850 TDi but the only coolant drain I can find is on the right hand side of the underside of the radiator. I am sure that if I can't locate and open the drain tap on the engine, then I will get airlocks when I refill the coolant. The owners manual is very vague. It mentions that the tap is on the front of the engine block? Thanks Alan |

It's on the front of the engine (front side that is) around half-way along IIRC. VERY hard to see and get to, it's underneath the manifold but you will need to drain from it or you won't drain sufficient a/freeze. You're looking for a downward pointing drain tap which is operated with an open-ended, possibly ring spanner. Regards.
