Default 164 fuel gauge sender

Has anyone a fuel gauge sender unit for sale for my 1973 model carbs. 164.
It needs to be part number 687825?
Brookhouse say it is unavailable, but do have 687826, however that is same as the one in now and it reads full all the time.

A little more info.
According to the parts cat. the sender (part no. 687825) correct for my car was fitted to the 164 after chasis no.74450 when the dashboard and gauges changed.
It was also fitted to 164E cars between chasis no.74450 and 10,2949.

Default Fuel sender

Jonathan - will look at tank of my spares-car when back there next week, but it may be outside the chassis numbers you say apply
however
a friend said he too had fuel gauge problems recently (not quite sure what) but was advised it may be the ballast resistor. I know blank-all about what they do but loaned him a couple of slightly different speedo head units (both with resistors) to try with his car (his is a 164E). Will advise when he has any positive findings.
