D5254T (to 2002, Audi) volvo oil filter.

I have a 1996 850 tdi Audi 5 cylinder. When i ordered my oil and filters i asked for a genuine volvo oil filter. The one that i got was the standard volvo filter that is used in most volvos including my 1960's amazon. This filter is smaller than the one i took off which was not a volvo filter. It does fit but have i used the correct filer. I try to only use volvo filters because i know they have a non return valve in and some aftermarket filters do not. Any help would be greatly received

The diesel has a specific filter, obtainable as a Volvo brand from, say, GSF or Eurocarparts. Regards.

You can definitely get the genuine Volvo article from parts for volvo:

I have bought my last two oil filters from them, cost around a tenner and quick delivery.

Or you can get one from us at FRF Volvo, as I supply genuine volvo parts cheaper than PFV can supply them. (of course their non genuine items are very competitive, but i only deal with genuine as i work for a main dealer)

This filter, part number 9125224 works out at a total of £13.61 from partsforvolvos including postage, i sell this particular genuine oil filter at £7.65 inc vat plus £3.21 postage, a total of £10.86 inc vat and inc delivery (royal mail 2nd class recorded delivery).
