But you won't save £3k, you'll save £1.5k at most... I would still go the dealer route. Less hassle, at least some recourse, and a WARRANTY!!!

An interesting third way is to use an experienced auction buyer. Julian Trim have been around for donkey's years, they find the car, check it over including hpi, lost or stolen and all for 6% on top of the hammer price - they're nice people too.

3 month warranty not worth the paper there printed on, they will try everthing not to have to pay out., until you hassle them with small claims court.

My warranty was for a year, rather than 3 months.
I know that some people have had troubles with these 3rd-party warranties... so did I! I had to escalate to boss-man level before I got my money on one occasion. Still, it was worth a lot of cash to me, and I would far rather have had the warranty than not. Don't know if WHA / WarrantyDirect are still in business though? Alastair |
