Default What is behind the plastic cover on the left...

Hi there!

My question is in the title:

What is behind the plastic cover on the left side behind the bumper visible in the picture below?

Am I right thinking it is to do with the airbox or is it something completly different? Didn't want to open it.

If it depends on the engine: the car has the B4204S3 (2.0l 4 cylinder petrol)...

Thanks!

Damien

With left I meant left side of the car or on the right in the picture

The 2.0D has its ECU is in there, to be cooled by air going to the air filter in the upper air box, it could be the same in your 2.0P

There should be a thick bundle of wires going out of that resonator housing from its inner side, that would confirm that the ECU is in it.

My ECU is next to the battery...!? At least that is what I expect it to be...

If you look next to the battery, there is a computer unit (I'd really guess it is the ECU)...!?
