Default the t5 shake

hi guys just a little consern

ive had my s40 t5 04 reg for about a month and loving it so much (oh its an auto by the way)

the problem is that for the past few days when ive been starting it from cold and it revs a little higher to start with it has started to shake its not to bad but the steering wheel also vibrates aswell

now i dont no weather ive just never noticed it or it has just started

also never owning a geartronic (or auto for that matter) the gear change is sometimes smooth and other times i get a bit of a jolt like when your cruising and it changes to 5th gear and then drops down to sit at 1500 revs

many thanks

Hey, I've got an 04 S40 T5 (manual) Mine does that too - although I have the vibratechnics engine mount, it did do it a little before.

You may have a tired gearbox mount, easily replaceable - mine was shot when it came out (after 40,000 miles)

Your car will rev higher when it starts, that's the auto choke.

You done any modifications yet ? Post some photos! Here's mine (always take a chance to gratuitously post pics)

Mine doesnt shake??

Can you describe in more detail? Is it for the whole 10 seconds of the high idle rev?

hi guys

yeah its when its in the high idle revs id say its its a little like an old diesel but then carries on, as im not to familiar with this auto choke are you ment to let the engine settle in idle a little more before putting into drive or should it be ok (i always let her heat up before pushing her)

my mods so far i put my 18s back on but i see what you mean t5 monkey about ride comfort and they are a little louder to im in to minds in weather to take em off and sell em and put my 17s back on

i have put my halos on now aswell and my god there bright at night and the were so easy to fit i ordered a dupstop grill on the 2nd of this month and still waiting for it to arrive i hope some time today and new leds throughout

Your halos look cool!

They're easy to fit? Might get a set - was put off before because it looked tricky.

You got a linky for where you got them??

they are really easy to fit there is a link on here about fitting them i think it might be jasonb who wrote it the only problem i had was when i was undoing the screws to take out the maiin unit dust fell into the front of the lamp but i should hopefully be able to get it out easyly

im after a set of lowering springs i do had a pair but they are getting mixed reviews they are pi springs dont no if u have heard of them

also what mm spacers have you got on your wheels think i might start looking at the handling on mine now
