How to get all that wiring out?
As I posted before my V50 is an ex Leicestershire fire and rescue. I got it for a good price, it's very clean and has been brought into the civvy trim very tidily. My only gripe is that they left miles of redundant wiring that powered flashers, sirens, radio and video equipment, that's lurking all around the car ( see my earlier post about the scart leads). Has anyone got experience with converting ex-service car to stock? I couldn't find any extra fuses so I assume the loom is dead but I found some extra splicing at the rear and front lights (presumably to make them flash). My question is: can I just happily slash at that stuff and rip it out or do I need to trace everything carefully to disconnect every possible alteration?

I know what you mean though, I took out the wiring for a phone hands free kit from the radio.
