Rebuilding B18 engine
Two or three weeks ago I received a 1967 B18B engine that I bought in the USA unseen to rebuild. Never in my life I had seen an engine so dirty, rusted and full of sludge, however it turned.
Took it apart, cleaned it, found that the cylinders were at 0.020 and the crank at 0.010, sent the block and head to the machine shop, cylinders rebored to 0.040 and crank rectified to 0.020. New valve guides, seats, valves, springs, lifters, push rods, pistons, rings, water pump, fuel and oil pumps, distribution gears, etc.
Should finish working on it today and start preparing the car for the change over during the week.
